What are PTPI Student Chapters?

A PTPI Student Chapter is a membership-based group that gives students the opportunity to promote Peace through Understanding in their school or community on a daily basis. Chapters participate in activities devoted to cultural understanding and humanitarianism. Student Chapter members also enhance leadership and teambuilding skills, resulting in students of great character with an increased appreciation of diverse people and cultures.

What do PTPI Student Chapters do?

Many of our student chapters choose to study aspects of a different culture- education, religion, government, food, etc. Our student chapter is dedicated to humanitarianism and volunteerism and do this at a local, national, and international level.

PTPI Student Chapters in action!

- Many of our PTPI Student Chapters communicate with each other through PTPI's School and Classroom Program or PTPI's Sister Chapter Program-making friends with other students around the world!

- Some of our PTPI Student Chapters take the pen pal exchange a step further and actually visit their new friends in their country of interest. Many of our Student Chapters also elect to host families or even foreign ambassadors!

-Our Student Chapters volunteer, volunteer, and volunteer some more. Each Student Chapter is unique in what they lend a hand to. Some reach out to orphanages while others spend time in soup kitchens. Service is a big part of being a Student Chapter and is complemented by student chapter fund raising and membership recruitment.
